Yeah..... It's Probably Time For A New Website

Updated: Feb 27, 2020

If you're questioning as to whether or not you need a new website and aren't quite sure if you want to take on such a huge project, have no fear—Conduire Social has compiled some "tell-tell" signs that it's time for you to get a new website!

Your current website is not responsive or mobile friendly.

52% of website traffic is from mobile devices. If your website isn't mobile friendly, you're potentially losing out on half of your website traffic. Additionally, Google is ranking mobile results first. Does that mean your website won't show up in Google results? Well no, but it could hurt your rankings. In short, you need a mobile friendly website.

Your website does not meet WCAG 2.0 Level A Compliance

If your website does not meet WCAG 2.0 Level A Compliance, then you are at risk of being sued, and no one is immune to a WCAG lawsuit, not even Beyoncé. WCAG 2.0 Compliance ensures your site is accessible to all visitors, regardless of their disability.

Your website is lacking strategy or direction.

If you built your website without a plan or direction, your site may be lacking cohesion for visitors, which can ultimately mean a huge bounce rate. In other words - you wouldn't take a road trip to an unknown location without mapping out a plan to get there (and a GPS), you shouldn't build a website without a plan either.

You "don't need no stinkin website, my company isn't / doesn't _______" (insert verb here)

Okay, I hear you, I promise, I've heard every excuse in the book such as: "our business isn't big enough," "people like don't even like care that we don't have a website," or my personal favorite, "we're too cool and exclusive for a website." But let's be clear, those are all excuses. Every legitimate business that wants to bring in customers needs a website. Let me repeat that, EVERY LEGITIMATE BUSINESS THAT WANTS TO BRING IN CUSTOMERS NEEDS A WEBSITE.

Why? How can new customers or clients find you unless they're hearing your name from a referral? How would they even know you exist? In 2016 alone, Google stated they handled at least two TRILLION searches.. two TRILLION. If you're not being found on Google or you don't have an online presence via a website, you're likely losing out on a lot of potential business!

In short, if you're asking yourself "hmm... do I need to update my website," the answer is probably yes, however, feel free to schedule a consultation to discuss your needs!
